Sharman Joshi snub N Chandra's deal

Monday, September 03, 2007

Sharman Joshi is a star now, with hits like Life... in a Metro and Rang de Basanti to his credit. Perhaps, that's why he doesn't think it's important any more to fulfill commitments made at the start of his career.

While debuting in Style, the actor had signed a three-film deal with film-maker N. Chandra. While he went ahead and did Excuse Me, the second movie of the deal, the third, he is ready to forget. The actor and director walked into the venue of the premiere of Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag almost at the same time. But the two weren't seen talking much.

We guess, Chandra has already given up hope and is not concerned about making Sharman accountable. However, Sahil Khan, the other debutant in Style who had also signed the deal, is more than willing to work with Chandra. The actor said: "Yes, I am looking forward to work with him. As of now, Mr. Chandra is a bit busy with his film Breaking News and will start the third film of the deal after that."

When asked what he thought of Sharman's issue, Sahil said: "I really don't know what's the inside story. I am happy with Sharman's progress. He is a hardworking guy and has the potential to rise high. As for his ignoring the deal with Mr. Chandra, I don't I have the right to comment. There can be a few reasons for Sharman not showing interest. Remuneration could be one of it."

Whatever be the reason, it seems quite unethical of Sharman to snub the deal. However high he rises in his career, he should not forget his humble beginning.

Gul Panag asks for condom before making love

Maybe that's why they call Bollywood as the other name for 'unexpectedness'. It's kind of strange that on one hand, there are zillions of ads on radio and TV that advocate (in their own creative ways) the importance of using a condom. But, on the other hand, there is our Censor Board which has ordered the chopping of a scene from the forthcoming film Hello that has actress Gul Panag mouthing the usage of 'condom'.

The scene in question has.....
