After a long hiatus, Bollywood actress Monica Bedi will make her comeback into films. While talking to a few private news channel, she expressed her desire to resume acting. Monica has also received some offers but she is not willing to talk about them as they are in embryonic stage.
Monica has acted in a dozen of films like Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat, Jaanam Samjha Karo, Kaala Samrajya, Tirchhi Topiwale, Jodi No.1, Khilona and Aashiq Mastana. She is basically a side actress and in few films she played pivotal roles. But, after her acquittal in a fake passport case and her alliance with gangster Abu Salem, her filmy career has almost come to a doom.
Today, Monica has been facing two passport forgery cases - one in Hyderabad and the other in Bhopal. In the Hyderabad case, she was convicted and given a three-year sentence. However, she went in appeal and the Supreme Court suspended her sentence and granted her bail. But she could not execute the bail bond as she was facing another passport forgery case in Bhopal.
Monica Bedi is the perfect example of the underworld-filmdom nexus. In 2002, when she was arrested along with Abu Salem for entering Portugal with forged documents, her life has become a hell. After a long time, Monica will again see the light of the day. Hope, her return changes her destiny.
