Ekta to make film on India's 'milkman'

Ekta KapoorAfter Shootout At Lokhandwala, Ekta Kapoor seems to have taken interest in making films based on real life stories. Her next film will be based on the life of the milk producer of India 'milkman' Verghese Kurien.

Before Ekta Kapoor, veteran filmmaker Shyam Benegal made a film on Verghese called Manthan. Ekta's film will be based on his memoirs 'I Too Had a Dream' by Gauri Salvi. Kurien introduced the co-operative dairy farming in Gujarat and the rest of India and is known as the Father of the White Revolution of India.

Ekta however, wants to make a commercial bio-pic. Actor Girish Karnad played the role of Kurien in Shyam Benegal's Manthan however; Ekta plans to sign a big star to play the role of Kurien. The film will be directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia.
