It's official. The Bunty Walia -Suman Ranganathan marriage is over. It has been less than a year since the hi-profile wedding. Theirs was touted as celebrity weddings of last year.
Their wedding reception at Olive was attended by many B-town personalities including Bunty's best pal Sanjay Dutt, Viveik Oberoi, Ashish Choudhury and Manisha Koirala.
Coming unstuck
Says a source from the film industry, "Initially, when they married they were absolutely in love and seemed the perfect couple.
At a party thrown by Ekta Kapoor and Sanjay Gupta last year they appeared besotted with each other and stuck to each other like glue.
Both had been married before (Bunty had been divorced for 10 years and Suman had spilt from Gautam Kapoor) and been in relationships (Bunty was linked to Amisha Patel and Payal Rohatgi, while Suman Ranganathan was seeing Farhan before she said, 'I do' to Walia). This time, they both seemed serious about making this marriage work."
'It's over'
So what happened? "One doesn't know what exactly transpired, but two weeks ago Suman and Bunty had a huge fight, after which she packed her bags and moved out.
They have been separately since." A close friend of the couple rules out reconciliation. "It's definitely over. They are not getting back, that's for sure."
When we asked Bunty if Suman and he had a fight and she is now staying separately, he says curtly, "Yes."
Are the differences irreconcilable? "I am not going to say anything right now. I will talk when the time is right," says Bunty firmly.
When we contacted Suman for her version she didn't deny she wasn't living with Bunty anymore, "I am with my family in Bangalore to attend a religious function."
When asked to comment about the fight with Bunty, she said, "I don't want to comment on anything. It's just that I am in no state to talk."
