GORI TERE PYAAR MEIN Reviews

oneindia.in

Gori Tere Pyaar Mein is a competently made romantic-comedy with a predictable story at its core. The film is light-hearted and has a feel good factor, but misses out on the impeccably flawless factor.

Imran Khan comes up with a fairly decent act, but lacks certain intense expressions, required in emotional scenes. Thanks to Kareena Kapoor, who breathes life into the movie and excels in her performance.

Gori Tere Pyaar Mein is enjoyable and pleasant till a point, after which all your expectations from the flick goes crashing down, thanks to Imran Khan's pathetic expressions.

You just can’t take movies like ‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mein’ seriously. That’s a given. It’s supposed to be a breezy watch, leaving us with a momentary, happy kick. It’s much like candyfloss – fluffy, sugary, pretty and pink.

Punit Malhotra’s second attempt at a rom-com, however, isn’t any of it. It’s painful. It’s drab. It's unromantic.

Do not to waste your money on this movie. You are better off donating that amount for a noble cause. At least, it'd be more meaningful than Kareena’s frivolous social efforts.

GORI TERE PYAAR MEIN! is more of a coming of age movie with a focus on contemporary relationships and interactions.

The movie is a charming and refreshing coming of age film plus rom-com rolled into those 2.25 hours. The film maintains the right balance between amusement, hilarity and engaging moments. Recommended!

All in all, the story is weak. Direction is poor too. Had Puneet stuck to a different kind of film perhaps, one that catered more to generation Z's rich tastes, then that film would've definitely fared better.

Watch the movie if you have to, if you like to watch big stars on the big screen. For the rest, skipping this movie would be a wise decision.
