Chetan Bhagat becomes Aamir's neighbour

After the string of 'tu tu main main' with the 3 Idiots team, Five Point Someone author Chetan Bhagat has become actor Aamir Khan's neighbour. Chetan has moved to the Waheeda Building in Pali Hill, Bandra which faces Marina Apartments, where the Perfectionist Khan lives. Bhagat has already joined the Waheeda residents group and is expected to move in shortly.

Last week the author had accused the 3 Idiots team including director Raj Kumar Hirani and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra of denying him due credit for their movie 3 Idiots which was a screen adaptation of his book Five Point Someone. Chetan had later closed the row by apologising to the entire team including Aamir.

Rajkumar Hirani allegedly claims that they mentioned in the media for at least three years that the film to be made was going to be based on Chetan Bhagat's book Five Point Someone. Why did they do that? To market the film using Chetan Bhagat's fame and the popularity of the book. But after the movie was sufficiently marketed that way, it didn't matter. When Aamir Khan came on board, the name Chetan Bhagat was not needed anymore. The film began to be marketed in Aamir Khan's name. The name Chetan Bhagat and Five Point Someone apparently became a liability for Aamir Khan. If AK is merely acting in a film telling the story of Chetan Bhagat and speaking CB's message to the youth, telling of CB's experience in IIT Delhi, that was no longer fit for the king of Bollywood. That is what happened.

The credit for Abhijat Joshi and Rajkumar Hirani for adoption of story by Chetan Bhagat should have been at the end in rolling credits, right next to CB's name. How does RH explain why it was not? On what basis did they decide that Abhijat Joshi and he deserved to have their names in opening credits while CB was to be placed in an insignificant way in the end?
