A couple that works together, stays together, is what Akshay Kumar and biwi Twinkle Khanna seem to believe in. The power couple married for eight years now recently bought a 7500 sq ft 6-BHK flat in Juhu, which they plan to convert into a joint office for themselves.
Akshay's production house and Tina's interior decorating business will now be housed under the same roof. The office will be open for business next month.
Together, we stand
Says a source close to the Kumars, "The apartment is on the top floor of a multi-storeyed building right next to their Juhu bungalow. Their joint offices will be housed there. The couple was looking for office space, and instead of looking for two different places, they decided to look for a larger space that would work as a joint office. Akshay's production company Hari Om Productions may have produced six films but he didn't have an address to run the business from. That's now taken care of."
The office place is sea-facing like their home (both Akki and Tina love the sea). So when found a place with a view, they grabbed it.
Twinkle is doing up the interiors. The source informs, "There will be a common reception lobby and two cabins each for Mr and Mrs. The rest of the space is for the staff and a pantry area. The feel of the place will be light and airy with lots of plants. They will shift into it in May after Akshay's Housefull releases on April 30."
