The overwhelming success of his movie 3 Idiots has meant that brand Aamir Khan has received boost. The actor now has another reason to simile after having bagged a whopping Rs 35 Crores as a part of an ad deal. UAE's telecom giant Etisalat which is entering Indian market has signed in the perfectionist actor as its brand ambassador for three years.
This news was confirmed to a daily by a source close to Aamir. The source said “ Aamir has become the only Indian actor to have been paid such big bucks. The deal had been on for long but it was only recently that the entire plan was finalised." Etisalat had been in talks with Aamir Khan for quite some time now.
This deal puts Aamir much ahead of his competitor Shahrukh Khan who had recently struck a Rs. 10 Crores deal from Dish TV for their latest ad campaign. Aamir Khan is already the brand ambassador of several brands like Parle, Coca-Cola, Tata Sky and Samsung and the latest deal puts him right at the top in the advertisement industry.
