The organisers of IIFA Awards 2009 are unperturbed by Kareena Kapoor's announcement that she would not attend this year's event to be held at Macau. In fact, they feel that the Bachchans, consisting of Amitabh, Jaya, Abhishek and Aishwarya, can make any event a success.
It is said that Kareena backed out of the event after the organisers turned down her request to let her open and close the event with her performances. The organisers decided to let the Bachchans perform at least once, as Amitabh is the brand ambassador of the event. Kareena was supposed to shake to the song “Marjani" from Billu but she has decided to skip the event to spend time with her beau Saif Ali Khan in England.
The IIFA Awards 2009 may not witness the glamour of Kareena but the presence of Aishwarya will surely fill the glam quotient.
