Sambhavna overshadows Yukta Mookhey

It may sound ironic but it is indeed true. Even though a soon to be released film stars an ex-Miss World, it is an upcoming starlet and one of the most popular item girls on the circuit, Sambhavna Seth, on whose shoulders the film's publicity is being strategised.

The film in question is Memsahab - Lost In A Mirage and the ex-Miss World is Yukta Mookhey. In this low budget film, Yukta as a central protagonist seemingly plays the role of a prostitute.

After a disastrous Bollywood run over the years which started with Aftab Shivdasani starrer Pyaasa and never recovered with her only other release Katputtli failing to survive beyond it's first weekend, Yukta has apparently chosen yet another flick which hardly justifies her celebrity stature.

Meanwhile, final insult to the injury comes in the form of an item girl hogging all the glory in the film's promotion with a raunchy dance number 'Piya Pardesiya' that is easy fodder for cow-belt audience.

Memsahab - Lost In A Mirage is produced by Kailash Shukla, directed by Arshad Siddiqui and has Vijay Raaz, Govind Namdeo and Ehsaan Khan for Yukta's company.

Sambhavna giving Rakhi a run for her money

Seeing her rival item girl Rakhi Sawant shining bright in the tinsel town, even Sambhavna Seth has decided to concentrate more on Bollywood related projects. This gal is known for her sizzling dance performances in item numbers picturized for films like Subhash Ghai's China Town, Kafeela, Zameer et al. But the babe suddenly shifted her focus towards Bhojpuri films which gave her competitor Rakhi to take a lead in Bollywood. "I regret that I only focused on Bhojpuri films.....

Well, I think sometimes to do roles of substance actors do low budget films. Every actress from Aishwarya to Rekha have done a low budget film. An actor is always looking for roles where they have something to do rather than sing and dance around trees as is done in most hindi films. Lets face it, commercial cinema doesn't have much scope for indian actresses. At least this film is based on something Indian and not a ripoff of an english, chinese, spanish or any other language film. And thanks for calling it a low budget film and not a "b-grade" film. I really hate that term.
