Imtiaz Ali is in the club of top directors after the success of Jab We Met. Both the stars of the film Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor were so impressed with him that they began recommending his name to the producers. Kareena went a step forward and recommended his name to her new beau Saif Ali Khan who will soon be producing a movie.
However Kareena seems to be unhappy with his casting. Trouble started when instead of casting Kareena Kapoor opposite Saif, Imtiaz cast Om Shanti Om actress Deepika Padukone. Saif is said to have a had a heated argument with the director but finally gave in to his demands. Kareena seems to be very upset with all this as she thought Imtiaz should have been more grateful towards her on this.
Imtiaz however feels different on the issue and said that his favourite actress did not fit the role and thus has gone to Deepika. The director said that favoritism is not his tool while casting for a movie and he is looking forward to working with Kareena Kapoor in the future.
