Controversy and fame always go together. Interestingly, controversy is a necessary evil for celebrities because it gives good publicity. With fame, crisis too have entered Indian actress Shilpa Shetty's life but her popularity has soared like never before. In fact, her fragrance has filled the whole of England and beyond.
Firstly, she won the sympathy of the people of England following racist slur on her by one of the contestants of Celebrity Big Brother contest and she eventual came out winner. She then hit the headline by kissing actor Richard Gere at an AIDS awareness programme. Now, the rumours of her relationship with film producer and businessman Raj Kundra have reached far and wide. Very much like rumours, her fragrance is also spreading fast.
The actress launched her signature perfume S2 less than a month ago in the UK. Now, it has emerged one of the bestsellers amongst 500 perfumes in the country, including signature perfumes of Kylie Minogue, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani, Paris Hilton and others. S2 was at No.3 on the fragrance charts a week ago. Experts believe that various controversies surrounding the actress must have boosted the sales of the perfume.
