We are rounding up the best movies we watched in the recent times who have three main protagonist in the movie. Remember Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara? It was one of the best movies we have comes across, a Indian coming-of-age comedy-drama road film, directed by Zoya Akhtar and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment. We are talking about these kind of movies which were blockbuster hits and which had three main actors in the movie.

ZNMD story follows three friends, Arjun, Kabir, and Imran who have been inseparable since childhood. They set off to Spain on a bachelor trip and meet Laila, who falls in love with Arjun and helps him overcome his problem of workaholism. Kabir and his fiancée experience significant misunderstanding in the meanwhile, which they soon overcome. After solving the problem, the three friends go to locations in the country where each friend chooses a sport for the group to attempt.

An expertimental movie that truly managed to entertain us and each character had its importance, no actor got more footage than the other and the story was given the highest importance. 3 Idiots too falls under this category, story of theree friends. So we are rounding up movies of friendly trios who have recently proved that three's company too.

Chashme Baddoor

A comic caper with Siddarth, Ali zafar and Divyendu Sharma as three lead characters.

Masti

Amar (Riteish Deshmukh), Prem (Aftab Shivdasani) and Meet (Viver Oberoi) live up to their rather amorous first names and try to get lucky even though they're very much married. However, their attempts to take a break from the frustration and humdrum of marital life makes them run headlong into a travsvestite, blackmailers, murder, a cop and a corpse.

Grand Masti

Sequel to masti

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

The three in question here are Arjun (Hrithik Roshan) and Kabir (Abhay Deol) alongside Imran (Farhan Akhtar). To fulfil the pact they made during their college days, they take off on a bachelor trip to Spain before one of three friends (Kabir) gets married. Will the adrenalin-packed adventures they indulge in change their lives?

3 Idiots

Rajkumar Hirani struck gold again after his Munnabhai series with this complete family entertainer starring Aamir Khan (Rancho), R. Madhavan (Farhan) and Sharman Joshi (Raju). The film traces back the story of the three friends who met in engineering college, two of whom (Farhan and Raju) get together to hunt the third cog in the wheel who does a disappearing act soon after graduating. Their antics, family woes, romances, aspirations et al make it an absolute must-watch.

Delhi Belly

We didn't see too much Dilli in it, nor do know who Bose DK is yet. Nevertheless, love it for its so-called cult status or hate it for being wannabe cool yet downright filthy... the three-friend formula worked here. With Journo Tashi (Imran Khan) running between two gals, ad man Arup (Vir Das) running after one and Nitin (Kunaal Roy Kapur) running to the loo to ease his upset stomach, the typical QLC worries of youth over naukri, chokri and their s*%#hole of a bachelor pad are replaced by darker problems involving gangsters.

Dil Chahta Hai

Can three friends with extremely distinct personalities get together and stay together? Aamir Khan (Akash) is anti-love, Saif Ali Khan (Sameer) is a romantic, and the brooding Akshaye Khanna (Siddharth) has a rather unconventional relationship with an older woman played by Dimple Kapadia. At the end, dosti-yaari scores over ego issues.

No Entry

One's a womaniser (Salman as Prem) but his wife's super-obliviously trusting, another's seedha saadha (Anil Kapoor and Kishan) but his wife's super suspicious. The former tries to set up the latter for some ishq di gali wich entry, when confusion and deception lead to the entry of Prem (Fardeen Khan). The three try to convince their respective spouses that their status outside marriage is still "no entry".

Hera Pheri

This laugh-riot directed by Priyadarshan is undeniably slapstick yet super fun. A landlord (Paresh Rawal as the myopic Baburao) and two tenants (Akshay Kumar as Alec Smart Raju and Suneil Shetty as village boy Shyam) all are in the throes of financial woes. A typical filmy style telephone cross-connection (long live the landline days!) about a kidnapping tempts them into a get-rich-quick scheme.

Thank You

Bollywood never seems to get enough of the philandering-hubbies-suspicious-wives formula, and (fortunately or unfortunately) neither does the aam junta. That's why a film like Thank You - with best buds and business partners Raj (Bobby Deol), Yogi (Suniel Shetty) and Vikram (Irrfan Khan) - have takers. When the former's wife hires a private detective (Akshay Kumar) to spy on them, is there a twist in the tale?
