Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar's much-awaited movie Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara (OUATIMD), that released on August 15th, has failed to impress the film critics. Featuring Akshay, Sonakshi Sinha, Imran Khan in the leads, OUATIMD is a crime gangster film, directed by filmmaker Milan Luthria. OUATIMD is a sequel to the 2010 film Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai.
OUATIMD is set in the 1980s of Bombay, where Shoaib's sole interest is the supremacy of Mumbai, but his heart is swayed by a lovely lady called Jasmine (Sonakshi Sinha). The film commences from where it's prequel Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai ended. As per most of the reviewers, OUATIMD doesn't do much justice to it's prequel and fails to create ripples amongst the audiences.
Most of the critics believe that there's nothing much to watch out in Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara, except Akshay Kumar's super performance. Akshay, who plays the role of a gangster named Shoaib, is the soul of the film. Everything else in the movie is just not upto-the-mark and is quite boring.

Koimoi (2 stars)
OUATIMD lacks the effervescence and naturalness of its prequel.
Zee News (2 stars)
Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara is nothing but an out and out Akshay Kumar film with nothing more to offer.
Rediff (2 stars)
Akshay Kumar makes some of those lines work, but things have gotten far worse this time around.
Indian Express (One and half stars)
After all the shoot-outs and bang-bangs are over, you are left with a film which leaves you with so little new that you wonder if there's any juice left in this style of retro gangsta flick. Or are we heading for a third-time-in-Mumbai-Tibara?
Oneindia (Two and a half stars)
OUATIMD has a bit of love, melodious music, dashing dialogues and action and yet there is something lacking in the film.
Featuring an utterly awful screenplay and more overbearing pulpy dialogues than you can shake a fist at, the unfortunately named and spelled Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara is a plodding and tiresome experience.
