Bollywood pays tribute to Late Ravi Baswani

Filmmaker Sai Paranjpe who earlier had directed Ravi Baswani uttered her fright with the death of the actor. She said that Ravi was an introvert and was immensely talented. He, however, never got the right kind of justice in the film industry when he was alive.

Ravi Baswani, the talented comedian-actor passed away on July 27, 2010, marking a sad day for the entire Bollywood industry. The actor showcased his talents in Bollywood gems like Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron and Chashme Buddoor. He was 64 and died out of a huge heart-attack while returning from Shimla.

Acclaimed filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar said that Ravi would be remembered for his role in fantastic movies like Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron and Chashme Buddoor. He in a way with his graceful personality had captured the heart and soul of the Indian movie lovers. He tweeted and offered his condolence “Sad to hear the demise of actor RAVI BASWANI.The unforgettable performance in (Jaane bhi do yaaron,Chasme Baddoor),may his soul Rest In Peace."

It is said that he was extremely close to the veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah and was a part of Naseer"s maiden directional venture entitled Yun Hota Toh Kya Hota. He also acted in several films like Bunty Aur Babli, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Pyar Tune Kya Kiya etc.

“Just got to know that Ravi Baswani passed away. How sad and terrible. Wonderful man. A gypsy by heart. Always happy and helpful. Rest In Peace." posted Anupam Kher in his twitter account.

It is sad that such a great artist passed away too soon. We did'nt get to see him enough in movies. A sad loss for the industry.
