Actress Shilpa Shetty went on a rampage against the Indian media on Karan Johar's Koffee With Karan. She said that she went in to UK reality show Celebrity Big Brother hoping to make her country proud but was disappointed by the India that she went to represent. According to her, the Indian media was the only side that she got flak from.
She particularly blamed the media for re-bringing her relationship with actor Akshay Kumar into focus. She said that everything else written about her and her participation in Celebrity Big Brother was positive barring the things written about her back home in India. She said that the Akshay Kumar episode was something that she put behind her.
The actress made even unexpected comments on a few more things. She said that she has not spoken to her racist accuser Jane Goody ever since the episode was over. Video footage that was shot for the episode in which people on the streets of London were asked of what they thought of Shilpa Shetty. They all sounded very very positive and appreciative of her.
All of them agreed she was pretty, courageous and attractive. When asked who they would have her marry (that is if given the option), they came up with names would sure turn the heads of anybody - Prince William, Prince Harry, Hugh Grant, Daniel Craig and Jude Law among others. The support that she received the nation, she said, was very encouraging. She was overawed by the time that she met Queen Elizabeth II, the Queen of England.
Also on the show were Shilpa's sister Shamita and her mother Sunanda. On a more non-serious note, the rapid fire round was quite revealing. Shamita's affinity for hot bodies was one of them. Go deeper, Shilpa told Shamita, being a good elder sister. Both of them also showed that they had the hots for Hritik Roshan.
