Domesticity suited Neetu. With her mother-in-law's guidance, she was becoming an expert hostess and a responsible daughter-in-law. Gone were the days when she played pranks at her mother's home, teased her cousins, or ragged her maid and hairdresser or gyrated to a John Travolta on her bed, Neetu was changing. Her old insecurities had vanished. Marriage had provided her with an anchor. Earlier, she was too absorbed in her single-minded relationship to appreciate other friendships. Now, she was more receptive to interactions that mattered to her.
One would have expected her to miss the arclights though. But she didn't. "This is the first time in my life that I'm enjoying a super holiday. In fact, some mornings when I wake up and see Rishi get ready to leave for work, I feel sorry for him. I feel fortunate that I can laze in the house without bothering about shooting. People ask me how I spend my time. I don't know what I do, but I'm busy the whole day, maybe busy doing nothing, but all the same I'm occupied."
