It's 10 days since the release of Jab We Met and in the voice of it's maker Imtiaz Ali, one can clearly sense the confidence of a man who has just delivered a successful film.

Declared a hit already with appreciation coming in from all quarters, the film is now going for a kill. In its second week, the print count has seen a massive increase with 40%-50% increment in shows all over.

Confirms Imtiaz, "Yes, the response has been overwhelming. I expected a good turnout but frankly the way Jab We Met has eventually performed at the box office is beyond my expectations too. Now we are further going for a kill by increasing the print count all over the world."

Rattling down some of the figures and facts he has in hand, Imtiaz informs, "In Mumbai city alone the shows have increased from 204 in the first week to 301 per day in the second week. On the other hand, up North in the Punjab territory, looking at the phenomenal business that the film is doing, the shows have seen a jump from 68 to 99 per day. A similar pattern is being followed everywhere whether India or abroad. As you must be aware, it is a big success already in overseas too."

What happens to the crucial third week now? Multiplexes, which all this while had only to worry about Om Shanti Om and Saawariya, now have another good problem to have in their hands. As it has turned out, Jab We Me' is not an easy pushover as many would have earlier thought it to be when the release plan was being chalked out.

Reflects Imtiaz without sounding pompous or laughing out the matter, "Yes, now we are being assured shows in the third week too i.e. the week of 9th November when the two biggies arrive. None of the multiplexes are removing the prints of Jab We Met completely and would screen the film in at least 2-4 shows a day, if not more."

He further adds, "I have been informed that now theaters are also sighting a fourth week run for Jab We Met. Once the Om Shanti Om and Saawariya euphoria settles down to an extent, the eventual merits would decide which movie is being patronized by the audience. You never know, we may have a few increased shows once the film gets into the fourth week."
