After Masti, Aftab's films may not have done wonders, but made it to the headlines. Recently, he was the talk of the town for his look in Red. This Vikram Bhatt's favorite is talking about his new film Speed which had been delayed in release. Again he will be seen in a different look. Rajnee Gupta had a conversation with her.
After a long delay, Speed is finally releasing. How does it feel?
It feel's nice. I was eagerly waiting for this film because I am in a different look and I play a negative character, who wants to kill the Prime Minister. I sport a different look in this film which is different from my previous films. I had grown long hair for this film.
[an error occurred while processing this directive] You have played grey roles before also. How is this role different from previous ones?
In my previous films, I had played grey role for few scenes but in this film I play a full-fledged villain. Special attention has been given to my look, dialogues and attitude in this film.
Tell us something about Speed.
This film is an out and out thriller. The whole story of the film revolves around a phone call. Sophie Chaudhry is opposite me with Urmila, Amrita Arora, Zayed Khan and Tanushree Dutta.
Vikram Bhatt trusts you a lot. How does it feel?
Feels good, but it also increases the responsibility. I try to the best of my abilities, but it is up to the audiences how much they like me.
What is the reason behind the delay in release of this film?
It will be better if you ask this question to Vikram Bhatt. I can't say anything on this.
You are coming in one more multi-starer movies. How much place will you be able to create?
I have done my work according to my character and now it is up to the audience to like me or not. For the question of creating a place, all I can say is that I have got a lot of scope in this film and isn't enough seeing myself in a new look.
What according to you is the reason that after Masti none of your films have been a success?
It is a tough question. (After thinking) What do I answer to this? The films did not run because the audiences might have not liked the concept or maybe they did not understand the story.
Is there any film that you are doing with Ram Gopal Varma after Mr. Ya Miss?
As for now, there is no any film and also there are no talks with him regarding this. Like you, I am also waiting for his call. If he offers me something then I will definitely do a film with him.
Now a day, most 'Bollywood' actors are going for 'Hollywood'. What are your plans?
Till now I have not got any such offer, but if I get then I will definitely give a try.
Tell us something about your forthcoming films.
