Tusshar Kapoor will surely end his disappearing act soon with Rohit Shetty's forthcoming movie Golmaal where he plays a mute guy. This will be his first release after Kyaa Kool Hai Hum. Being immensely choosy about his movies, Tusshar commits that he doesn't want to make the same mistakes that he made in the past. "I am trying to be very choosy, careful and conscious now. I am not the only actor; I am sure that everybody makes mistakes at the beginning. I think there is not a single actor, who hasn't done any stupid film at the start of his career." He quips.
Does it mean that he has learned from his mistakes? He replies "Yes, of course. I think Good Boy, Bad boy and Golmaal were the only interesting offers that I came across after KKHH. I don't think it's really necessary to do less work but it has to be quality work. Quality control is important that builds on your brand value."
Tusshar admires Aamir for his work. He states, "Aamir is a big star because he associated with only big good films and people know that if it is his film then it's going to be different. He pays attention into everything and his every film has turned out well. And that impression has been created in everyone's mind, which is very important for an actor". However Tusshar adds, "I don't believe in one movie in a year formula. If I like a script then I will do it. I want to have releases happening more often but my films should be good and worth it."
With most of his colleagues turning producers, Tusshar doesn't want to left behind. He says, "I am a producer with Balaji and I won't do anything independently. I'll do it with my film company only. I was more involved in production during Kyaa Kool Hai Hum and I'll involve more there after".
Talking about his forthcoming films he says, "After Golmaal, Ashwini Chaudhary's Good Boy Bad Boy will be my next release. I am playing an interesting character in Sanjay Gupta's Shoot Out At Lokhandawala. I have signed Shyam Bajaj's next Agar where I play a role of a guy, who is an owner of an event management company. He is a very romantic guy, who looses his memory due to certain incidents in life. He comes back to his normal life. It's a thriller."
Unlike his father, Tusshar is not much keen to work with south banners. "No, I am not interested as South films are outdated for Hindi audience today. I have done some films with south filmmakers and noticed that they don't like to make modern films. They make films in the same conventional style which doesn't work now, so I am not going that way. I think I am accepted as a hero, as my first film was a typical commercial film. And you have to appeal to your universal audience. Dad did it and it worked for him but today even if I have to remake a South film, then I think everything has to be changed or reworked", he concludes.
