Ekta Kapoor's latest production Ragini MMS 2, which is a sequel to her super-hit film Ragini MMS, has received a fantabulous opening at Indian Box Office. On its first and second days, the Sunny Leone starrer horrex movie has done super collection in the domestic market, beating three other new releases like Gang Of Ghosts, Ankhon Dekhi and Lakshmi. The film has become the biggest opener for the Indo-Canadian star.
Amidst lot of hype and expectations, Ragini MMS 2 released in large number of screens across the country on March 21 and opened to an overwhelming response in both multiplexes and single screens on Friday. But the film probably lost around 10% business due to the India-Pakistan cricket match. It has collected Rs 8.43 crore nett at the Indian Box Office on the first day.
Its business went down on Saturday. On the second day, Ragini MMS 2 has collected Rs 7.50 crores nett at the Indian Box Office, taking its two day total to Rs 15.93 crores nett. Bollywood Trade expert Taran Adarsh tweeted, "Ragini MMS 2 has a solid start at the ticket window. Despite India vs Pakistan cricket match making a dent in biz, Fri total is impressive." He added, "Ragini MMS 2 Fri 8.43 cr, Sat *est* 7.50 cr. India biz only... Rs 24 cr to Rs 25 cr nett weekend on the cards. Excellent!"
Pooja Bhatt's Jism 2, which marked Sunny Leone's debut in Bollywood, had collected Rs 7.50 crores nett at the Indian Box Office on its opening day. Now, Ekta Kapoor-produced movie Ragini MMS 2 has broken that record and become the biggest opener for Sunny Leone.
