GGG collection at overseas Box Office
Mumbai: Saif Ali Khan's latest outing Go Goa Gone (GGG), which had a poor weekend in India, has failed to make it big at the overseas Box Office in the first weekend. The movie did not have a big competitor either from Hindi or any other regional language. Moreover, it has garnered positive reviews from critics. But the film remained a non-starter in key international markets - USA, UK and UAE. Its opening weekend business is shockingly low.

Race 2, the last release of Saif Ali Khan had raked in Rs 4.77 crores ($8,84,757) from 153 screens at the USA Box Office in its opening weekend. Whereas his latest release Go Goa Gone, which released in 92 screens, has failed to get half way through the mark set by Race 2. The film has collected Rs 93.11 lakhs ($1,70,044) in the first weekend.

Race 2 had received fantastic opening at the UK Box Office with its first weekend collection reaching Rs 3.02 crores (£3,56,258) from 76 screens. Whereas Go Goa Gone has collected Rs 39.68 lakhs (£47,089) from 42 screens at the UK Box Office in its opening weekend. Although it has less number of screens in the country, its per screen average is very low.

Go Goa Gone has turned out to be another big debacle at the UAE Box Office. Race 2 had collected Rs 5.22 crores ($9,70,000) in this key market in its first weekend. Whereas Saif Ali Khan's latest outing has raked in Rs 1.27 crores (AED 8,50,000) at the UAE Box Office in its opening weekend.

Race 2 had raked in Rs 1.03 crores (A$1,83,750) from 19 screens at the Australia Box Office in its opening weekend. Whereas Go Goa Gone has collected just Rs 18.45 lakhs ($33,807) from 11 screens in the country in the first weekend. In its opening weekend, the film has collected Rs 3.65 lakhs (FJD 11,893) from 2 screens at the Fiji Box Office, where Race 2 had not released.

However, Race 2 had collected Rs 17.26 crores nett ($3.2 million) at the International Box Office in the first weekend. Trade expert had predicted that Go Goa Gone would break this record. But shockingly, the movie has just collected Rs 3.56 crores ($6,50,000) at the overseas Box Office in its first weekend.
