Despite having a big clash, Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Son Of Sardar, which hit the screens on November 13, opened to a fantastic response at the domestic Box Office and both movies showed a huge growth in their collection on the second day. But their business fell considerably on Thursday and Friday. They were expected to have a big leap on Saturday and Sunday, but Bal Thackeray's death took a toll on their collection.
Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Son Of Sardar, which collected Rs 80.73 crores and Rs 66.02 crores, respectively, at the domestic Box Office in the six-day-extended first weekend, witnessed a big down fall of about 60% on Monday when compared to their opening day collection. Jab Tak Hai Jaan has collected Rs 5.36 crores, while Son Of Sardar raked in Rs 4.75 crores at the desi collection centres on the seventh day.
However, Jab Tak Hai Jaan has grossed Rs 86.09 crores nett at the domestic Box Office in seven days, while Son Of Sardar collected Rs 70.77 crores nett. As per their initial pace, they were expected to cross Rs 100 crore mark in the first weekend. But their latest business trend shows that they may fail to surpass this mark in the 10-day-extended first weekend.
