Ranbir's Rockstar earns Rs 11 cr at Box Office on first day

Ranbir Kapoor's latest Bollywood movie Rockstar, which was released on 11th November, has got a solid opening at the Box Office in India. The musical romantic film has earned Rs 11 crores in the collection centres in the domestic market on the first day of its release.

Rockstar, which has been made with a budget of Rs 60 crores, was released with 2,500 screens. The film had a grand beginning at multiplexes, where it registered 80% to 100% occupancy. But it received poor response at single screens with its occupancy ranging between 40% and 50% on the opening day.

However, Rockstar has received mixed reviews from the film critics. The onscreen chemistry between Ranbir Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri has been well appreciated by both critics and the viewers. The romantic movie is successful in impressing the youth. Since Ranbir has done lot of promotional activities for it in several colleges across the country, more number of students are expected to invade the theatres in the coming days.
