3 Idiots breaking records is no longer a news as the Raj Kumar Hirani directed movie doesn't only seem to be breaking records but also raising the bar high. After becoming the first movie in the history of Bollywood to cross the 300 Crore mark, 3 Idiots has broken the records in the overseas market too. The movie has grossed 43 million pounds worldwide which is a record in the history of Bollywood.

3 Idiots has already broken the individual records in US, Australia, South Africa, Pakistan, Fiji and Kenya. 3 Idiots' performance overseas is special as Aamir Khan starer have never been popular with the audience overseas. Traditionally it was thought to be a Shahrukh Khan-Karan Johar domain due to their lavish shooting in foreign location
