Box Office sets eyes on 3 Idiots

Avatar seems to have made a dent in business of all films, Hindi included. Last week's Rocket Singh - Salesman of the Year fell sharply in its second weekend in U.K. Now all eyes are on 3 Idiots, which will have a wide release in the international markets.

Weekend: December 18 - 20, 2009.

U.K. BOX-OFFICE
* Vettaikaaran [Tamil film] has debuted at No. 14 position. In its opening weekend, the film has collected £ 43,608 [approx. Rs. 32.80 lacs] on 12 screens, with the per screen average working out to £ 3,634.

* Rocket Singh - Salesman of the Year [last weekend: No. 16, this weekend: No. 19]: In its second weekend, the film has collected £ 18,588 on 27 screens, with the per screen average working out to £ 688.
Total: £ 1,13,581 [approx. Rs. 85.43 lacs].

* De Dana Dan [last weekend: No. 26, this weekend: No. 27]: In its fourth weekend, the film has collected £ 9,428 on 22 screens, with the per screen average working out to £ 429.
Total: £ 5,48,768 [approx. Rs. 4.13 crores].

* Paa [last weekend: No. 23, this weekend: No. 28]: In its third weekend, the film has collected £ 9,066 on 14 screens, with the per screen average working out to £ 648.

* Kurbaan [last weekend: No. 39, this weekend: No. 37]: In its fifth weekend, the film has collected £ 2,818 on 7 screens, with the per screen average working out to £ 403.

James Cameron professes love for Leona Lewis' talent

Washington (ANI): James Cameron was so impressed by Leona Lewis' song for his film Avatar that he called the British singer to thank her personally. The Titanic filmmaker contacted the pop-R and B star after listening to her track I See You that forms a part of the upcoming sci-fi movie."I only saw a half-hour clip of the film. It's not finished yet, and it's insane, awesome. I heard the song - great lyrics, very, very epic. So I.....
