The Reliance Big Pictures movie had the widest release for any Bollywood movie so far screening at 2126 screens worldwide including 366 screens. The Raj Kumar Hirani directed movie has reported unprecedented success from the domestic as well as the international markets running packed houses. In mere 4 days the movie has grossed an astounding Rs 100 crores worldwide.

Trade analysts say that 3 Idiots is all set to break many records in Bollywood as it continues to draw huge crowds. What seems to be working for 3 Idiots is the fact that it is having a pan India success from smaller towns to the mega cities. The movie is working equally well at the multiplexes and the single screens. It is very rare to see repeat audience these days in Bollywood but 3 Idiots seems to be exactly doing that.
