Following the success of his first feature film Angshumaner Chobi, director Atanu Ghosh has again tried his hand in a very interesting and psychological exploration journey. Takhan Teish is mainly the story of young doctor, whose life drastically changes in only 48 hours when he is 23. The change comes with his confrontation with four women, Sraboni, Sriparna, Meghna and Mohini.

These four women are played by the actresses Indrani Haldar, Paoli Dam, Tanusree Shankar and Aparajita Ghosh Das. The young sensitive doctor undergoes an emotional journey of infatuation, love, friendship and lust before he changes as a person.

The film fluctuates between the fantasy world and reality, but keeps you engaged at every point. The doctor as a boy craves for a pornstar, played by Paoli. But the things take a different turn when he meets her as a patient. There is a multi-layered representation of male fantasies, midlife crisis, pornography and virtual friendship.

The character of Jisshu has again infatuation for his teacher, who does not spoil her but does try to avoid receiving his messages also. He gives the audience an opportunity to interpret the situation in their style by leaving behind some clues. It also gives a sweet dose of suspense to keep you glued to the screen so you can not stop saying it a new age thriller.

Tanusree Shankar has given a convincing performance as an over-possessive mother. Rajatava Dutta is seen as a Net-savvy corporate-turned-philanthropist. We can not deny the credibility offered by Aparajita to her character. There is no doubt about Indrani Haldar"s performance considering her long experience in the industry. But Jisshu is the ultimate winner, who gives all authentic look to his face and emotions.

We can not miss out Anup Mukherji"s wonderful background score too. So, in brief, it is a must watch movie for this weekend.
