Ekti Tarar Khonje is about love, betrayal and crime. Director Avik Mukherjee has pulled off a masterpiece and this is the best the industry has seen since the National Award winner Antaheen. He has been the cinematographer of Antaheen and the excellent cinematography in the movie doesn"t come as a surprise. The movie has been eagerly been awaited by the audience as it is being produced by Aniruddha Roy Choudhury

Abhi (Shayan Munshi) dreams of becoming a star, has stars in his eyes and so lands up in a city like Kolkata to make his dreams come true. He stays at a rented place, has an eccentric landlord who stays indoors the entire day, plays the Esraj, knows his Shakespeare well and goes out at night. He is sin love with the landlord"s niece Rani (Arpita Chowdhury). He gets trapped in the big bad world of crime unknowingly and from there, it sis point of no return. At the same time he also gets a role as a second lead in a Bengali film.

Abhi is in a big dilemma. He is at a crossroad and he just can not see a straight path. Therefore all he can do is to depend on his lady love There is a blast at the building from where the gang operates and Abhi"s boss dies along with other gang members. Abhi"s is at peace at last. What is important is the handling of the film. The suspense remains till last and one has to see the film to know the real identity of Abhi"s boss. It can not be revealed and is in fact a surprise element of the film.

Shayan Munish and Arpita Chowdhury share a great chemistry in the movie. Dhritiman Chatterjee plays a good supporting role in the movie. It is one of those rare movies where audience would have wanted to see a few more scenes. The intriguing nature of the movie is bound to hold the audience. This is definitely a movie worth spending money on movie tickets.

this movie was disaster. no doubt it had best cinematography but the direction was non focused. any time i would prefer to watch a movie of raj chakrobarty than this one. it seems tht the director became quite confused. . n sayan munshi. . bollywood threw him out n he landed at kolkata. .no at all a good actor.. same goes for indranil . too anyway. .

I really don't understand who wrote this review and have real doubt about the qualification. Come on man be Professional. Its not that good a movie yeah the cinematography is good but the storyline(if it has one) is crap.
